- I have a degree in professional writing, yet for nearly the past decade I have worked with children in residential treatment care. These kids are some of society's dispossessed children, hidden away in facilities where their problems can be locked away temporarily. If you know anything about the work that direct-care workers do, you know that it is among the hardest and most dangerous work in the world.
My experience with storytelling in my job is that I have made up a number of visualization narratives to help the children sleep. Many of them have difficulty sleeping at night in their bedrooms, as it is the time and place that they suffered much of their abuse. So, my narratives have helped them to fall asleep. I am now in the process of recording my narratives and offering them for free to residential treatment centers and therapists across the globe.

What a small world. I have been to Yellow Springs just once but really enjoyed the visit and want to get back there soon. It's a really amazing place from what I saw and what others have told me.
I will take your advice and start a group for healing children. Great idea.
